We were recently called to change a euro cylinder lock in a front door in a property in Culcheth.
In 90% of uPVC doors, there is a Eurocylinderlock, these have been found to have design faults and therefore need changing. The design faults have led to a weakness within the cylinder which has led to them becoming more likely to snap rendering the lock ineffective.
Intruders have found a way to snap a standard door cylinder in less than 30 seconds using simple tools which enables them to gain access to a property.

Unfortunately, this is on the rise. Burglars have discovered it does not matter how many hooks or deadbolts you have on your door if you have the original cylinder lock the weak point is the cylinder lock. This is what the intruders will target to gain entry.
