Yale supplies a wide range of Nightlatches which are traditionally known as Yale door locks, to suit most security requirements. These range from maximum security Yale door locks for external timber doors to standard security locks which need to be used together with a mortice lock.
Yale cylinders are available in a variety of styles, finishes and sizes and are used in conjunction with a number of different locks. Most people do not appreciate that it is only the cylinder which needs to be changed when you are “changing the locks”. The process is straight forward and is recommended for a number of reasons including loss of keys, change of property/business and if you’re existing keys have become worn or damaged.
All insurance companies stipulate strict restrictions regarding external door locking systems. We use Yale mortice locks which comply with British Standards (BS 3621) as they offer excellent protection against intruders.
