Over the last couple of weeks we have completed a lot of UPVC door replacement lock assignments. Some were as a result of a break in. The handles had been broken and then subsequently the cylinders had also been broken allowing the door to be opened without a key.
Others have been as a result of insurance firms requesting cylinder changes.
You may have seen in the press or here on this blog there has been a new cylinder lock developed called an anti bump cylinder lock which prevents intruders snapping the cylinder within the lock to gain entry
Doors with the new anti bump cylinder lock are much harder to force open.
